New Orleans needs to grow new types of businesses. We need software companies and manufacturing companies. These types of companies offer higher paying jobs. These types of positions require higher levels of education, but they pay big dividends. Katrina has clearly shown the need for companies like manufacturing software design and other new industries. Manufacturing, Software Design, and other High Tech companies should be recruited to work, live, and thrive in New Orleans.
