Cafe East is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the New Orleans area. Cafe East has done an amazing job creating an outstanding dining experience. The building is elegant and contemporary. The colors and lighting are aesthetically pleasing.. The cuisine is Chinese with a great gourmet flair and presentation. The sauces are usually perfect and the Asian soups are outstanding. I have dined at Cafe East no less than 20 times and have gotten consistently good service and consistently great food. I can easily suggest the "Crispy Whole Fresh Fish". It is an impressive dish visually and even more impressive on the palate.

The tables are set in a formal manner for dinner.

The table settings for dinner include beautiful chargers and gorgeous wine glasses.

Cafe East has a full bar that serves some pretty dynamite martinis. I suggest slipping in to Cafe East for a nice dinner and a cocktail. I have never been disappointed with their service or atmosphere, even after Hurricane Katrina.

Cafe East has hundreds and hundreds of bottles of wine in their display racks near the front of the restaurant.

Cafe East offers an upstairs banquet hall that can accommodate 200 people for business lunches, conferences or parties. Full video and data services are available.
