BUSTOUT BURLESQUE continues in New Orleans

BUSTOUT BURLESQUE is continuing its run through April. There's always something new and different happening at the only authentic burlesque show in the Deep South! Check below for show details. WHAT'S NEW: For the month of April only, PERLE NOIRE, also known as THE BLACK PEARL, performs her tribute to the amazing Josephine Baker. Last week, the crowd responded most enthusiastically. Black Pearl has incredible energy and can shake a banana skirt like no other. Bananas is her business. The Green Athena is a special martini now being served. Named after our seductive harem girl, it's the color of her beautiful twinkling eyes. Not to mention, green is her favorite color, if you know what I'm talkin' about. This one-of-a-kind cocktail was invented by our mixologist Greg, who is quite the character behind the bar! Two weeks ago, the Tipitina's kitchen staff swung the doors open to serve tasty, tempting tapas. What a nice surprise, and very reasonably priced. Legend of Burlesque, WILD CHERRY, known as the Firecracker of Bourbon Street, continues to entertain audiences with her comic bit onstage. She signs her 1950s publicity photos after the show. SPECIAL PACKAGE: Louisiana Bistro (337 Dauphine Street) is offering a dinner and a show package too good to pass up. It's the ultimate New Orleans experience. Chef Erik Mahr, an incredibly talented chef, offers his Creole specialties at 7:30 and an escorted stroll a few short blocks away to the 10pm show of Bustout Burlesque. Call the restaurant at 504-525-3335. Package price is $70 per person, does not include drinks, liquor, gratuity. TRIXIE MINX, now being recognized (with her clothes on!) while shopping along Magazine Street uptown, will not share her tassel twirling secrets with you, but will be more than happy to demonstrate her latest “trix” during the Bustout Burlesque show. She just keeps getting better and better! Audience members are spellbound! To sign up for the Bustout Burlesque email list, which offers updates and discounts, please email rickdelaup at cox dot net. Bustout Burlesque is Saturday nights at 8pm and 10pm at Tipitina's French Quarter (233 North Peters Street between Iberville and Bienville). It's the classiest joint on N. Peters between Coyote Ugly and Hooters! Park at Canal Place and ask for validation at the club. For reservations and information, call 504-975-7425. Tickets are $15 general admission and $20 each for reserved table seating.

This show is great! It is good to see some tradition brought back to such an historical town that is becoming over flooded with t-shirt shops! I highly recommend a visit!
