New Orleans ALA Convention June 22-28 2006 Post Katrina
New Orleans it was and New Orleans it remains—the site of the American Library Association’s Annual Conference, scheduled for June 22–28. Although the decision to remain in the Big Easy was anything but, the ALA Executive Board concluded in an October 12 conference call that the city would be sufficiently recovered from the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina to host the conference.
