New Orleans Style Red Beans in Pressure Cooker
This is a great recipe for New Orleans style red beans:
1 Pack of Camellia Red Beans
1 Stick of Butter
6-8 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon of White Pepper
1/4 cup Dried Bell Pepper
1/4 Dried Onions
1 Tablespoon Season All
1 tablespoon Powered Garlic
1 Teaspoon Salt
Soak beans overnight in at least enough water to cover them by 2-3 inches. They will absorb a lot of water during the soak, this is very important. GOOD BEANS ARE SOAKED BEANS!
First add soaked beans with water to pressure cooker. Water should be added so that beans are covered by at least 1 inch of water. Then Mix all other ingredients together in the Pressure Cooker.
Heat on high till cooker begins to steam. Then reduce to med to med-low.
Beans should cook for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve over rice with dollops of sour cream.
Cook for 30-40 minutes more
