Riverdale High School Jefferson
Riverdale High School , located in Old Jefferson, LA, is a public high school operated by the Jefferson parish school board. It is located between the river and Jefferson highway. The school was originally an all girls school but has since become co-ed. Riverdale now required school uniforms. Riverdale’s mascot is the Scottish Rebel.
New Orleans Area High Schools
There are several New Orleans area high schools both public and private. Many of the private schools in New Orleans are run by Catholic organizations. The Orleans parish school system is plagued by failing schools and thousands of unfortunate students who have been left behind by the system. Saint Charles and Saint Tammany parish schools are rated among the top schools in the state of Louisiana.
