The New Orleans are is in the process of cleaning up and fixing up. This includes replacing flooded furniture and bedding. Most furniture stores in the area are being swamped with customers. All of which need to replace some or all of their furniture. Many of the residents who are in temporary housing are buying smaller pieces that will fit into apartments.
While many of the furniture stores received damage, many of them have reopened and are moving forward at a blistering pace toward rebuilding their stores and inventory.
There is talk of many class action lawsuits being formed with regards to the construction of the 17th street canal levee. The breach in this levee is what caused most of the flooding in New Orleans and Metairie. This class action has been heavily advertised on yard signs throughout the city.
Diet, diets and dieting is a normal part of life in New Orleans. The food in New Orleans is so good that we often can overindulge. That is why so many people have diet resolutions for New Years and Lent. New Orleans always has some party going on which has great food. It is a hard city to diet in but with consistent exercise and a healthy diet goals can be achieved.
