Louisiana, in general, is just different from any other place you have

Orleans is just as different from the rest of the state. Louisiana has it's
own set of laws based on the Napoleonic Code or Civil Code. We don't have
counties, we have Parishes. We don't just party in New Orleans, we throw
the biggest free party in the world, Mardi Gras. Ever since Louisiana came
into existence, we have been know for our corrupt politicians, laid back
no worry living, beautiful women, over indulgences, beautiful architecture,
and the absolute best food found on the planet.
