Orleans Parish

Orleans Parish is the heart of New Orleans. Orleans Parish includes the CDB, French Quarter, Algiers, Lake View and other areas of New Orleans proper. New Orleans saw incredible devastation at the hands of Hurricane Katrina. The city flooded and most of the parish was highly damaged.

St Charles Parish

Saint Charles Parish is located to the west of New Orleans. Saint Charles Parish is next to Jefferson Parish. Saint Charles is home to many of the area's large chemical and refining operations. Saint Charles Parish also has a business park located in Saint Rose called the James Business Park.

Saint Charles Parish has the cities of Luling, Boutee, Destrehan and Hahnville to name a few. Like most parishes in the area, Saint Charles is separated by the Mississippi River. The river can be crossed on the Luling Bridge using I-310.

Jefferson Parish

Jefferson Parish is located to the west and south of downtown New Orleans. Jefferson Parish is home to Metairie, Kenner, Harahan, Old Jefferson, Westwego, Gretna, and a few other communities.

Jefferson Parish is also home to the New Orleans Zephyrs. Jefferson Parish also goes as far south as Grand Isle, LA. This is Louisiana's last inhabited barrier island.

While Jefferson Parish did receive a hard hit from Hurricane Katrina, the Parish did get on it's feet quickly and is currently the staging area for rebuilding New Orleans.
